The scoring method is that each judge puts on a score from 1 to 10 making it a total of 3 to 30, which is added to the percentage of North American votes, and the couple with the lowest score each week gets eliminated. 

Public voting is done using toll-free numbers, the ABC website,  text messages, and Facebook. 

Although the voting and scoring methods keep on altering in various seasons, judges are also given the power to save or eliminate contestants in different seasons.
