With Labor Day weekend officially in the rearview mirror, we’re all in for a rude awakening: that’s right, summer is over. And, while many people are saying goodbye to summer Fridays and beach vacays, I’m personally mourning my summer wardrobe. (Or, well, so I thought.)

You see, I practically live in easy, breezy sundresses all summer long. When the temperature and humidity are at all-time highs, the last thing I want to do is pile on the accessories. So, my sundress stock offers a low-effort way to feel somewhat put-together. (All I need to do is slip on a dress, grab my favorite sandals and purse, and I’m good to go!) Don’t get me wrong, I love sweaters and boots as much as the next style-conscious consumer, but piecing together the perfect outfit can be…a lot.

Fortunately, A New Day’s Women’s 3/4 Sleeve Wrap Dress ($28) has single-handedly taught me that I don’t need to forgo my sundresses this fall.

At first glance, this dress might seem like every other frock lurking in your closet. Made with a lightweight, gauzy material, this dress boasts a set of compliment-worthy, poofy sleeves and a tie along the waist, which flaunts your figure. (There’s even a plunging neckline and subtle slit to help beat a heat wave)

But, in reality? This dress might very well be the perfect thing to wear as those hot summer days turn into brisk autumn afternoons. Thanks to the three-quarter sleeves and midi hemline, you won’t be shivering once the temperature drops. And, since plaid is fall’s unofficial pattern, you also won’t feel out of place when the leaves start to change colors.

But, my favorite part about this dress is how versatile it is. Right now, I’m rocking this pick with my favorite flats and a pair of oversize sunnies. However, I’m planning to pair this frock with opaque tights and combat boots once fall rolls around. And, if I want to extend its wear into winter? I can simply slip a turtleneck underneath for a cozy feel. (Since this dress’ material is relatively lightweight, I won’t have to worry about overheating.)

I know what you’re thinking: there are a lot three-quarter sleeved, midi dresses out there. (And, yes, there are also a lot of plaid frocks.) That said, dress’s details come together so perfectly, allowing it to handle whatever Mother Nature throws its way. Oh, and did I mention it’s available at Target for under $30? When you think about how much you’ll wear this dress, it’ll pay for itself in no time.
