The Thunder Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is found in many locations and used for evolving different Pokémon like Jolteon and Bellibolt.
From Generation 1 to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s Generation 9, Pokémon can evolve using a Thunder Stone. Evolving certain Pokémon for the Pokédex requires using this Electric-type evolution stone. It is extremely easy to get in the game and can even be bought in stores around the Paldea region. For story-mode gameplay and competitive play, using an Electric-type that requires this stone, like Jolteon, helps paralyze and quickly take out opponents.
To first be on the lookout for the Thunder Stone, trainers need to finish the 3rd Gym leader. Thunder Stones can also be found around the Paldea region in high locations. However, as with most treasure hunting in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, being mobile in the open world is recommended. Enhancing Koraidon or Miradon as a ride by defeating all Pokémon Scarlet & Violet‘s Titans help trainers succeed.
Thunder Stone’s Location in The Open World
The first location on the map to find a Thunder Stone is near windmills in the West Province Area One. The windmills with staircases will have the Thunder Stone located at the top. The second location on the map is in Levincia Town, where the Electric-type Gym Leader, Lona, resides. Next, go to the pier just outside the city, where a red Pokéball will appear, looking out towards the sea.
Where To Buy The Thunder Stone
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Thunder Stone can be bought at Delibird Presents in three major cities, Mesagoza, Levincia, and Cascarrafa. It is priced in the shop for 3000 Pokédollars and is accessible once a trainer has beaten 3 Gym Leaders. Thunder Stones can also be in an auction in Porto Marinada, where items like the Sun Stone in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are also found. It is recommended by Game8 to save before bidding in Porto Marinada to find a low price.
Get Thunder Stone As a Pokédex Milestone
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, trainers also have an opportunity to acquire a Thunder Stone as a Pokédex Milestone. The app made by the Biology Professor Jacq of the Naranja or Uva Academy gives trainers incentives to complete their Pokédex with Milestones. By opening the Pokédex app, click the “X” button on the controller to open up the tab with the trophy. After having 30 Pokémon registered in the Pokédex, the reward will pop up as a Thunder Stone.
Pokémon That Need the Thunder Stone to Evolve
There are a few Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that need a Thunder Stone to evolve. The previously known Pokémon from other generations that are native to the Paldea region are: Eevee, Pikachu, and Eelektrik. Other Pokémon like Nosepass and Charjabug, who are not in the games and have yet to be added in a DLC, possibly also need a Thunder Stone. The newest editions in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for Pokémon needing a Thunder Stone are Magneton to Magnezone and Tadbulb to Bellibolt.
