Former NBA pro Lamar Odom reportedly wants his ex-wife and KUWTK alum, Khloe Kardashian, back and is willing to do anything to make things right.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband Lamar Odom remains confident about his chances with her and believes he can be the man she always wanted him to be. Lamar and Khloe had a whirlwind romance after meeting in 2009 and got married after a month. Their marriage made tabloid headlines as many people questioned the reality television star for marrying the basketball star within a short time. The former couple’s marriage also featured on KUWTK and they also had their own reality show. However, cracks began to appear in their union with reports that Lamar was cheating on Khloe. Also, there were reports that he had become a drug addict. Lamar reportedly went missing for 72 hours in August 2013 leading Khloe to file for divorce months later. She paused those divorce proceedings in 2015 after he overdosed on drugs in a Nevada brothel and suffered several strokes and heart attacks. After helping Lamar recover from his drug abuse, Khloe discovered he was drinking six months after his discharge from the hospital and filed for divorce again. The divorce was finalized in December 2016.
Since Lamar and Khloe’s divorce, they have been in different relationships. Lamar’s most serious relationship was with health and lifestyle coach Sabrina Parr, with whom he got engaged in November 2019. However, their engagement lasted for just a year before being called off. Meanwhile, Khloe was involved in on-again, off-again relationship with another basketball player Tristan Thompson with whom she shares a 3-year-old daughter, True. Since the start of her relationship with Tristan, the NBA star has been involved in several cheating scandals. The latest of those scandals was the revelation that Tristan fathered a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols, which he initially denied but eventually admitted to. Tristan has since apologized to Khloe for hurting her feelings but that won’t make any difference since she is reportedly done with him.
While Khloe seems done with Tristan, could there be any chance of her rekindling her romance with her ex-husband, Lamar? If the words of a source are anything to go by, then Lamar is not giving up on him and Khloe. The insider told HollywooldLife that Lamar has been aware of Khloe’s struggles with Tristan including the most recent scandal he was involved in and is willing to be there for her like he used to be before. The source said, “Lamar really wants a chance with Khloe again. He doesn’t like Tristan and doesn’t think he deserves Khloe.” The source explained that Lamar has turned his life around and credits everything to God. The former Los Angeles Lakers star remains focused on keeping his circle small these days and wants to avoid bad people in his life. The source added, “He is confident he can be the guy Khloe always wanted him to be.”
The source also explained that Lamar is a good person who can perceive undesirable things from a mile way due to his past experiences and such an attitude will help him to stay on his newfound path. The source continued, “It’s for the long haul and he’s not repeating it again. He is single and staying away from toxic relationships because his patterns always started there.”
A second source revealed that despite Khloe and Lamar’s past issues as a couple, the latter will always have a soft spot in his heart for his ex-wife. He also knows he messed up when he was with her and is willing to do anything to go back in time and make things right. The second source also said, “But he knows they’ve both gone their separate directions in life at this point. But that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t love another chance at a relationship with Khloe. Although he’s doubtful that will ever happen, he’s still hopeful and would love to at least build a friendship again with her. Lamar will always place Khloe on a pedestal and he has nothing but love for her.”
Whether Lamar and Khloe ever get back together is a long shot for anyone to call at this time. However, given how quickly things can change, especially among Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars, it will be too quick to write off any chance of that happening. Sources have previously stated that Khloe has vowed never to return to Tristan even though she is willing to allow him him to perform his fatherly duties to True. Also, Khloe has a great support system in her family members, who are helping her to move on. Hence, the chances of her taking Tristan back are very unlikely after all he has done to her. With Tristan seemingly off from Khloe’s thoughts, one can only wonder if she will be willing to rekindle her relationship with Lamar. If the insiders’ words are true, Lamar is willing to be her man again. He can do nothing but wait to see if she wants to be his woman too.
