The first official image for Halloween Ends hits the web, revealing the new trio to lead the film: Laurie Strode, Lindsey Wallace & Allyson.
Halloween Ends has revealed its new lead trio in a brand new promotional image. The film will follow the events of 2021’s Halloween Kills and send Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) up against masked serial killer Michael Myers for what may be their final showdown. The movie is currently scheduled to debut in October of this year.
The current Halloween timeline has seen great success by wiping the continuity slate clean and building its mythology purely off of John Carpenter’s original Halloween from 1978. Directed by David Gordon Green, Halloween and Halloween Kills bring Michael Myers back to Haddonfield 40 years after his initial rampage for another night of terror. His killing spree through the town leaves dozens dead, including Tommy Wallace (Anthony Michael Hall) and Laurie Strode’s daughter, Karen (Judy Greer). Halloween Ends will catch up with the characters after a four-year time jump, seeing surviving heroes, Laurie, Allyson (Andi Matichak), and Lindsey Wallace (Kyle Richards) deal with the fallout of the 2018 rampage after Michael’s latest escape.
With production currently underway for Halloween Ends, the third installment in the current Halloween trilogy (technically making it the fourth installment in this continuity), new details about the project have begun to hit the web. In fact, a new image has surfaced online showing the three lead heroines of the upcoming movie: Laurie Strode, Lindsey Wallace, and Allyson. Check out the image, posted on Twitter by producer Jason Blum, below.
The image shows Laurie, Lindsey, and Allyson all gathered at the Haddonfield bar, presumably where they gather to reflect on Michael’s rampages and plan their next attack on him, with Lindsey seemingly getting a bigger role this time around. One thing to note is that this image is clearly seems to be a promotional shot, rather than a shot from a specific sequence in the movie. This is not unlike the 2018 Halloween, which kicked off its own marketing campaign by putting Curtis back in her costume from the original movie. As such, it’s difficult to glean exact plot details.
Of course, all of this fanfare for this trio of lead Halloween women leads fans to wonder what will happen to one, some, or all of them by the time the credits roll. Halloween Kills made it abundantly clear that it had no qualms about killing off fan-favorite or legacy characters, as evidenced by the brutal takedowns of both Tommy Wallace and Karen. With that in mind, while these three women seem ready for war against Michael Myers, there is no guarantee that all of them will make it out alive. Halloween Ends is scheduled to premiere on October 14, 2022.
